GP/GSP-EXTRAMAT

Description

Geomats represent geosynthetic material of three-dimensional structure, manufactured by warp-knitting method with the base from glass-fibre or polyester fibre and weft from glass-fibre and/or polyester fibre with polymer coating. Geomat conventional symbol: GP (ГП) – knitted polyester geomats; GSP (ГСП) – knitted glass-fibre polyester geomats.


Scope of application

Geomats are used as reinforcing components at road construction, including the creation of stable vegetation cover to prevent erosion processes of earthwork structures:
- backslopes, fillings, excavations, ditches;
- bridge cone fillings;
- backslopes of reinforced ground walls and sound barriers;
- landsliding slopes of ravines and structures on landsliding areas;
- coast lines and water edges;
- water courses;
- functions of filtering and drainage in structures.


Additionally

It is used for creation of stable vegetation cover to prevent water and wind erosion processes of earthwork structures: fillings, excavations, ditches, bridge cone fillings, beds of regularly acting water courses

- does not reduce the probability of downfall
- is not a design-basis material
